    After seeing EA Play added to gamepass I was stoked to try a modern NFS game having not played any since underground (apart from the The Run which was amazing and underrated).

    I wasn't expecting anything as good as underground but I thought it would be good arcadey fun and amazing graphics.

    First shock was that it looks awful! 30fps looks especially bad in a racing game and everything still looks 360-gen. I thought NFS (and EA in general) pride themselves on visuals? The character models while not essential to a racing game looked embarrassing. The Run looked incredible for its time.

    Of course visuals aren't everything. The game is also horrible to play. Why does feathering the gas send you into a complete momentum-halting drift?!

    Maybe Forza Horizon has spoiled me but this was just shockingly bad.

    I remember hearing about this game awhile back but it fell completely off my radar until my friend mentioned it yesterday. YouTubed a bunch of videos and I can honestly say I'm really excited . Something snapped in Destiny for me about 4 months ago and I just can't play it anymore .

    Anyone excited for this game? It's supposed to hit Feb 2

    Xbox Console Companion Party Chat

    Does the Console Companion just not have adjustable audio bars for each individual like the console does? If so that seems like a massive oversight. I can't hear my friend over the game because his mic is too quiet, even if I adjust the game to voice ratio on my headset. This wasn't a problem when I played on console because I could just turn his volume up within the party chat settings.

    Screen Freezes

    So, for about 4 months now, my Xbox has been freezing whenever I turn it on. I tried power cycling and factory resetting it and it didn't work. Now, everytime I turn it on, I get stuck on the preparing console screen. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

    Play and charge question.

    I just purchased a play and charge and a new controller. The controller is the new model for the series s/x and the play and charge cord doesn't fit. I don't know dick about electronics do y'all think it would be fine to charge in my old Xbox one controller with a broken joystick and use in the new controller? Or does a different cord mean different power supply?

    Xbox Series X stops playing Dolby Atmos audio randomly.

    I have been experiencing audio disconnects (no audio) while playing or watching a movie on my Series X. This only happens when Dolby Atmos is selected (which I always have ON through the Dolby Atmos app in the Series X). I am wondering if this is an isolated issue or if other people in this subreddit with a similar set up is also experiencing this issue.

    I could be playing for 1-2 hours with no problem and out of the blue there is no more audio. In order to fix it I need to go back to the home screen and re-trigger atmos from the App. While that workaround fixes the issue temporarily, I would like to not have this happen at all. I thought it was game related but this happens with any game (Apex, AC: Valhalla, Halo MCC, Sea of Thieves, etc.) and movies too.

    Worth mentioning, I have other devices connected to the TV and native TV apps that support Atmos (Netflix for example) and I do not have this issue.

    Current gaming set up.....

    TV: LG OLED CX (4k @120Hz panel with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports at 40Gbps)

    Sound Bar: LG SN9YG 5.1.2 (connected to the TV via an HDMI 2.1 cable while using the TV's eARC port)

    Xbox Series X: Connected to the TV directly using an HDMI 2.1 cable. I have the Series X set to 4k 120Hz for the display.

    My mom wants to connect with me more by buying her own xbox.

    My mom is not so handy with computers, and is almost 55, but today she called me telling me she wants to buy a xbox to chat and game with me, as we live far apart?! Considering the epidemic and all. This shocked me with happy tears a little, as she's always been a technophobe.

    Any suggestions on were to get a cheap xbox online? all the stores are closed at her and my location..
    She already got scammed on a online marketplace before, so i want to surprise her by ordering one myself, so i'd rather ask here for legit sources to get one.. hope that's oke to ask here!

    p.s - (i don't have much, so if possible a first gen xbox one, if they still exist in the wild)
