    Digital Game

    I'm very new to this so please don't judge. How do the Digital Game Codes work? What are the first steps to installing a digital game onto an Xbox One S? I bought an Xbox One Digital Minecraft Card (code on the receipt obviously) and I don't know where to start when it comes to being able to play it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Xbox Noob, Need Clarification for Game Sharing

    Hi r/xbox,

    I am new the the xbox ecosystem thanks to the new console launch. Previously, I was exclusively on playstation and the process to setup game sharing was straight forward.

    I would like to be able to game share with a user who will have the series s, while I have the series x. From what I have seen, I would need to set the series s as the home console in order for the series s user to download my games and they can then play them when they sign into their account on that same series s. Is this the full and correct process?

    What I wonder now, for xbox, are the things below, and for the sake of this let's say "user1" is me and "user2" is the series s user.

    1. Can you share game pass games, in addition to digital games I have purchased?

    2. Will "user2" need to pay for xbox live gold to play multiplayer on their account? I (user1) will continue to pay for game pass on my account.

    Cross platform charging?

    I'm looking for a docking station that can charge Xbox series, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo pro controllers. Does this exist? Think it ever will? Far as I can tell this isn't something that should be too complicated since they all charge via usb C.

    Gifting Xbox Live to Someone in Another Region

    Hey everyone. I live in the US. I have a friend in the UK who I used to play with, but his Xbox Live is expired. I would like to buy him a few months of gold as a gift. Is this possible?

    Is there any official option to add months to someone else's account/subscription?

    Could I buy a gift card here in the US, scratch it off, and send him the code to use in the UK or are they region-specific?

    I'd appreciate it if anyone knows any options for this.

    Quality gaps - LAN console companion streaming XB1X attached 4k TV w/ HDR to WQHD PC w/o HDR - pro tips needed!

    Hi all, I use the legacy Win10 xbox console companion app for LAN console streaming of my XB1X a decent bit when the TV is being used for things like Desperate Housewives (no knock on it - just choosing to rot my brain w/ console games instead). My TV is a 4K unit with HDR and Dolby Vision (TCL 65R615 if it matters).

    My PC is an older AIO with a WQHD 2560 x 1440 screen (Dell XPS 2720 if it matters). No scale / zoom applied.

    I notice that the resolution is slightly off on the PC, and then on the TV when I go back to it (if not restarting the XB1X first). It's most noticeable that text looks a bit off and some aspect ratios appear distorted. It's good enough to play, but I know I'm leaving some visuals on the table :(

    I searched but couldn't find a good primer for how to optimize my setup for good quality on both screens. Does anyone have some pro tips or guidance here? While I'd welcome the "buy a new 4K monitor with HDR support" response, that's not in the cards unless you're making a donation :)

    Connected via LAN and no other major performance gaps or issues. Fingers crossed this function for local streaming isn't replaced by needing to go up to the internet first.

    Elite Controller Thumbstick Issue

    I have a brand new Series 2 Elite Controller and the right thumbstick seems to stick any time I move it to the left. Below is a video of my issue and you can see it sticks anytime I move it to the left. However, moving it to the right is fine.

    Any help is appreciated. I tried to switch between tension levels and nothing helps.

    Can anyone please help me? I am having very high ping on my Xbox. My other devices work perfectly fine. Download speed is higher than upload speed for some reason.
