Backward compatibility transferring? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 11:37 AM PDT Hey! I have an Xbox 360 i've had for a few years and an Xbox One S I've had since it came out. I have a number of games for Xbox 360 like Mirrors Edge, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, 3 & 4, Destiny and Battlefield 4. Those last 3, FC4, Destiny and BF4 aren't backwards compatible since I have the Xbox 360 versions - not the Xbox One versions. I used one account for my Xbox 360 before I lost the password and just today decided to use my Xbox One account for my 360. Is there any possible way I can network transfer my games (I have the discs only) to my Xbox One and play the Xbox One version with only owning the 360 version? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Aug 2020 02:25 PM PDT My fiance and I have our xboxes/TVs in the living room, but I plan to get another TV for the bedroom soon(I live in a one bedroom apt, same level). I don't know how often we'd play games on it but I'd like the option to. Is there a way/or some sort of device that can stream a Xbox to another TV without having to move our consoles? Thank you! Will a game trial and even if I'm not using it? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 01:40 PM PDT So I just downloaded the game trial for Madden 21. It says I have 10 hours to play. But will use up the 10 hours if I'm logged in if you know what I mean? Like say I'm logged on, but not playing the trial. If I'm playing another game will it use up the trial time? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 12:32 PM PDT So ive been using an external hard drive for about a month or 2. Yesterday i loaded up a game and it hit me with a took too long to load, so i tried it a few more times. Each time it did the same thing, then i went to my games and apps and all the games on my external were gone, and i went to storage and it didn't pop up there. I tried restarting my abox and unplugging and replugging the hard drive. Neither worked. I got on today to see if it fixed itself and it didn't, but now games from the hard drive are sometimes popping up, but says i cant play those either. Anyone know what happened and what i should do? My father is going to get an Xbox. Need suggested games!!! Posted: 20 Aug 2020 12:03 PM PDT My Dad's 50 y/o and is going to buy an Xbox soon cause I recently moved away from home. I grew up with a Pac-Man and Galaga machine in the basement so I have a good idea on arcade games to tell him to try. I would really like some suggestions though on good first timer online or solo rpgs, action games, etc. I've handed the controller to him a couple times while playing COD or something...FPS are too advanced for him so third person would be the only way to start for him to enjoy the experience of playing games. Any suggestion helps! [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 11:30 AM PDT I noticed that an update I have queued for a game was downloading quite slowly (all other games and apps were closed) so I decided to run a speed test on my phone to see if something was wrong with our internet since I pay for 250mbps. The test confirmed that our internet speed is 250+mbps. I was looking into the Xbox settings and I saw the option to run a speed test from the Xbox itself, and after doing so it reported a download speed of 37.5mbps, okay, not quite what I was hoping for but it will work. I go back to the game update, and it downloading at ~800kbps, less than 1mbps. Do you guys know anything off hand that I could do to fix this issue, or have any ideas what could be causing this disconnect between theoretical and actual download speeds on my Xbox One? Redeeming game pass codes when already subscribed to game pass? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 07:27 AM PDT So I've just signed up to game pass and remembered I had a code for game pass and also seen that you can get a month of game pass from the Xbox rewards bit. Does anyone know what happens if you redeem these when already subscribed? [link] [comments]
Xbox chat on PC using wrong output Posted: 20 Aug 2020 06:51 AM PDT Since the xbox gamebar update on 8/19/2020 the Xbox game bar app on the PC uses the wrong output device. No matter which output I have selected, it comes out of my main speakers. It even comes out of my speakers when I have the default system output set to the headset. I want chat output to come out of my headset. The only way I could get the chat to come out of my headset was to disable all audio outputs and reboot my computer. I think that the box game bar app should use the output selected. [link] [comments]
What reason is there to get the Series X or Series S? Posted: 20 Aug 2020 01:36 PM PDT I just don't understand and I'm just curious as to the reasoning or someone and thought that this might be the best place to ask. I'm not an Xbox hater or anything, I loved the 360 and I have an Xbox One although my PS4 is my main system this generation. I will go and say that there is some PC praising in this, but I've never been much of a PC player so I feel like I'm not super biased here. My reasoning for not getting the Series X (or S) are the following: All Xbox exclusives will be released on PC as well for the foreseeable future. All Xbox exclusives for a certain time after the Series X release will also be being released on the Xbox One. I would possibly think that the time period would be the first year at most. Xbox Game Pass is on PC. PCs have had controller support for years now so you don't have to use keyboard and mouse. If you have friends that did decide to get the Series X, you may be able to crossplay with them from PC, Xbox One, and maybe even the PS5. That is all the reasons to not get one. The reasons to get one would be the following: Backwards Compatibility for all previous Xboxs. Cost of good gaming PC. Dealing with building and optimizing a PC. Those three reasons to get one are all fair enough, but for someone who has the money and is willing to deal with building and optimizing a PC, I don't think Backwards Compatibility is enough of a draw especially since the Xbox One could be my Backwards Compatibility system for the Xbox family. At that point, it just boils down to not wanting to deal with the PC. If you aren't paying for a $400 - $600 system and you save a little more after that, you could probably have enough to build or buy a decent PC. After that, the only reason would just be optimizing the PC. A few last things to add. Halo Infinite being delayed isn't great. The leak about the Series X being as high as $600 is not great. If they announce it at that price then PS5 is definitely going to undercut them and charge $500 or maybe even $400. PCs are generally more powerful and more likely have mods obviously. PS5 will have actual exclusives. Most people have PCs anyway. Maybe not for gaming, but between the money they pay for a PC already plus the money they would pay for a Series X plus a little extra could equal out to them getting a good gaming PC. In closing, I don't see any reason to get a Series X or S, but would be willing to hear any opinions as to why to get it. I'm genuinely curious because it sort of baffles me. [link] [comments]
