How are exactly will dual-gen support from first party developers NOT hold back development for the XsX? Posted: 14 Jul 2020 12:32 PM PDT I read Phil Spencer's explanation, but I simply don't buy his comparison to PC game development. Specifically, PC game development hasn't had to design a game that BOTH relies on a SSD, but can also rely on an HDD. Maybe I'm missing something, but I cannot imagine how the XsX's SSD will be fully utilized by developers while they are also required to make their games compatible with an old HDD (ie One X hardware). Help with Controller after Microsoft asked me to pay them 100 dollars to fix their manufacturing error. Posted: 14 Jul 2020 06:30 AM PDT TLDR Vent: So as a massive fan of Elite Controllers and V2, my advice to anyone, is don't buy them with out a warranty. It's 90 days from purchase. The next one, if I go back, getting form Best Buy or something. TLDR Actual Request: Anyone have guides or suggestions to fix stick drift. Like hell am I paying them a 100 dollars to get a used controller that may or may not have the same issue or a different one. Vent/Story I deleted what I wrote to calm down. Allow me to detail the cluster of poor customer service I ran into. Yesterday Reached out to Xbox Chat support for help with stick drift. My left stick acts like i'm pushing it forward at all times. They said reach out to device support request repair. I reached out to said group for repair, and they said, controller out of warranty buy a new one. I waited a day, because I knew if I talked to someone I'd blow up on them, and having worked in customer service that would only make things worse. Called this morning after sleeping on it. Guy basically relents saying, sure we can fix it, it will cost you 100 dollars + shipping cost. I quietly tell him no, that alright, and hang up after wrapping up the call. Not his fault the policies are shit. I tried to explain to him, this wasn't some dropped controller issue. Just stopped working, I could understand 25-50 bucks for repair, but 100 is ridiculous. It's not even a year old. I guess, I had grown to expect better, after they serviced my original Elite Controller when it was nearly 2 years old with no fuss. Put a hold on my credit card and sent me one, and I sent them my old one. This really spoils my looking forward for XSX.
