Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:14 PM PST My daughter has just recently went back to work full time and with me being recently retired decided to watch the grandson more after school and I gotta say it's such a great way for an older man to bond with the younger generation. I'm a history lover myself and he was showing me this Assassins Creed game, I never knew video games were so detailed! He was playing and I was giving my input in certain buildings and people in Ancient Greece. It was really quite amazing, I'm even thinking of getting one for myself to pass the time. Thank you Xbox for giving me a new way to bond with my grandson! [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 03:15 PM PST So I'll start with some limitations: 1) The game will be digital, that being said it will be gifted through the Xbox live marketplace directly. No physical copies or workarounds, very straightforward. 2) The game cannot exceed $150. I was going to make it a standard $59.99 but I realize there are some games worth pitching in a little more for those sweet sweet dlcs/add-ons. 3) Has to be in the states, UNLESS, you all know a way to gift a game through from US to another region, this will be my first time not gifting to a friend directly so I don't know entirely how it works, except that there's a region lock I believe. If you want to participate but you're in another country, include in your comment a link or description of how to go about gifting from United States to your country! 4) It has to be a game. No DLC, no MTX, no Season Passes. Now if the game is under the $150 mark and includes the Season Pass and such, that's fine! All that being said let's begin! All you have to do to enter is comment on this post telling me about the first videogame you EVER played! And be specific! If your first game wasn't your first game, as in a game you liked and it inspired you to become a gamer, then elaborate and say "my first game was [...] but my first real game was [...]". My example: The first videogame I ever played was Super Mario World on the SNES, and while I was too young to understand exactly what I was doing, I enjoyed it, however my first REAL gaming experience was Ocarina of Time! I absolutely didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to see all your responses! Once the winner is picked I will add an update to this post. Happy gaming everyone! [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Feb 2020 03:05 PM PST I am visually impaired and I love video games. I am looking for recommendations of games that will fit my ability to access them. As an example, perfect games for me are KOTOR and KOTOR 2 because: 1.The game allows me to pause the action and make decisions then start the game up again. 2.The map and minimap are simple, clean and accurate. I often cannot tell what is happening on main screen but I can use the map in its simplicity to navigate my character. 3.The menu and text options are in relatively large print that allows me to see it on my 80 inch TV when sitting very close. The Fallout games' VATS system allows me to find the enemies I cannot see natively and the VANS system puts down a bright yellow line to have me follow to the next objective. The South Park games are also simple in design and turned-based allowing me to take the action slowly so I can figure out what is happening on screen. Are there any games you can think of that may fit well into a design presentation that is simple, clear, and high contrast that would make for an accessible game for me based on the examples I provided above that work well for me? Thank you for the help! [link] [comments]

My xbox elite controller is defective and out of warranty. Posted: 22 Feb 2020 03:05 PM PST I'm gonna get right to the point I have 2 main issues with My elite controller, Stick drift and my right stick won't go max speed when pushed down fully if I want to make a sharp turn by fully pressing my stick up I can't, What really grinds my gears is that it's out of warranty, ALSO I didn't mention that I've had to repair my bumpers 4 times and the 2 pads on the bottom just sort of came off; it just kinda feels like a waste I mean I paid 149.99 for a controller that didn't last even a year and a half, I even still have the receipt from Walmart it's from nov 2018 Can i still even do anything?. Oneguide is busted for everyone in Australia. Has been for 4 months now. Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:20 PM PST Australians currently have no guide info in Oneguide when using the official OTA tuner for Xbox One. It has been like this for 4 months, Xbox support is silent on Twitter on the issue. Apart from an occasional tweet from one of the Xbox Ambassadors that it is a known issue I have heard nothing from anyone at Xbox. Due to this rumours are rife that Xbox intends to pull support for this peripheral entirely with one user claiming they've been told as such and offered a refund. Anyone got any ideas on how we can get Xbox to address this? A good portion of the Australian community would just be happy to hear something from someone other than an ambassador. Just finished A Plague Tale Innocence right now Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:10 PM PST And wanna say: "Thank you Xbox GamePass for provide me such an amazing game"! For people who didn't played this game yet, make something good for yourselves and PLAY IT NOW!!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 03:04 PM PST I bought an Xbox One X a couple weeks ago, and noticed that it makes a constant noise—kind of a buzzing, fan noise—even when in rest mode. I put up with it for a bit, and then exchanged it last week. The new one has been making the same sound out of the box as well. I don't think it's coil whine, but I'm not an expert. It's a pulsing, buzzing sound, and my first thought is the fan. But if both Xbox's are doing this, is this something that everyone just puts up with? Or did I get extremely unlucky? Maybe the third time is the charm? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Feb 2020 01:11 PM PST So I haven't used my wireless controller for a while now. It worked perfectly and then I switched to a more nicer controller. This is the controller that came with my Xbox one S. The left analog stick works fine except it won't let me go down. I pull down on the stick, it won't go down. Idk what the problem is, Reddit please help. Edit: it goes down now but it won't go up why are these controllers so weird Edit 2: It now does not go up or down. This is absolutely mad. Coming to XBox from PlayStation... Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:52 PM PST I'm not ditching PlayStation but have never owned an XBox and am very seriously considering an XBox One X (Gears Of War) bundle. I primarily want to get back to playing some of the console exclusives and also need a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. So, the exclusives I'm going for are
Any other recommendations exclusive to this console recommended? And yes, this is driven by the current price drop of the console in anticipation of the fall release of XBox Series X. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Feb 2020 09:55 AM PST Hey guys, I know this has been mention previously in the sub, but none of the threads had anything helpful. So I got this headset about two months ago right before Christmas. And it was working fine up until two days ago, The audio cuts in and out with a static-y noise until ultimately not playing any audio at all. I have to unplug my Xbox every time to reset it for audio to actually come through, but then it only stays for an hour or so. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 01:09 PM PST My Combat Tech Controller was stolen and I have been thinking about getting another controller. I really liked the Rubber Grip on the back and I was wondering if someone could give me a list with all the available controllers that aren't the Elite ones (who wants for fork out $150 for a controller). I don't have the money for an elite xbone controller because it's worth more than my base model xbox one is. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Feb 2020 05:10 AM PST Ive been thinking about getting this game recently but I wanted to know what peoples thoughts on this game on the xbox one and if they liked it or not.. And also wanted to see if there is a large population playing this game as I would be interested in the multiplayer aspect if I do get this game. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 02:42 PM PST I've had my Xbox One X for about a year and a half and had no issues until this new console update, a lot of games won't start or even play even when I redownload them and I'm just fed up with it at this point and any help would be much appreciated. What is the best model of xbox one? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 09:16 PM PST I have an old 360. I remember with the 360s, certain models where "better" than others like the Halo model. Is that the same with the xbox one? If I was to buy a used one, which is the best model to purchase? Anything I should be looking for? Google was less than helpful... [link] [comments] |
