| Xbox not reading discs or resetting. Posted: 22 Jan 2020 01:01 PM PST I was having issues with my Xbox not playing discs or installing so they put a new hard drive after the reset did not work. Then everything seemed to be working fine for a few weeks. Then this past week it will not read blu rays and so I wanted to try doing a hard reset. Every time I select the reset option is starts but then after 10 seconds it just goes back to the "Something went Wrong" page so now I am just caught in the endless loop where it wont reset. Any suggestions here? I cant even do an offline update because when I put the USB into the xbox it wont even recognize that their is a USB stick in it. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:53 PM PST Today I opened up the front panel of my elite controller, and sprayed contact cleaner around the right joystick mechanism to try to fix my stick drift. I let it dry and when i put everything back together my X button won't press down very far, and seems to be stuck. The A button also has this problem to a lesser degree. If anyone can help it will be much appreciated! Edit- It seems like they have lost some functionality as well, and so has the menu button. [link] [comments] | ||

Sometimes my Xbox will update games while it's off like it's supposed to, but other times it waits until I turn it on to start the update. Why is this and can it be solved? It isn't just whenever my Xbox hard powers off and needs a long start-up. It happens even sometimes when the Xbox does the instant turn on. Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:34 PM PST I recently bought a game, about 3 days ago, and a few days later (today) i realized i should of gotten a different version of that game, if i bought that higher version NOW, will i be able to refund the lower version? My most important question is... should i buy the higher version of the game now, or should i wait for them to refund and THEN purchase the other version? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:29 PM PST so in July of 2013 dead rising 2 was free with games with gold and I got it and I played it a lot until a couple of months ago and for some reason they want me to buy the damn game again I have 11 achievements and my stats are pretty high so I know that I'm not just some wackjob. I'm really looking for some mindless fun and this is the only game that can provide that for me. what can I do to get it back? (I also checked my alt accounts and they don't have it which makes sense since I didn't have any in 2013) Edit: Xbox doesn't seem to have a last played tracker but I last played it about a month before the modern warfare open beta started. I have been having extreme Wi-Fi issues as of late, Verizon has no answers, and hard-lining Ethernet to where my console is set up is not really an option for me. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy some sort of adapter that will essentially turn my coax cable (which is wired up to my room already for my fios box) into an Ethernet out so I can be hard wired 2 floors up. does anyone have experience with this type of connection?
