    What better time than a new year to catch up on some older games? Today's gift is a grab bag of four of the first games I played on my brand-new Xbox One S in late 2017.     You can tether a car to a jet, then surf on the car's hood as the plane tows it around the sky like a fucking kite. Enough said. This is the XXL Edition that comes with all the DLC, including the game-changing jetpack.

    Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
    Deus Ex is one of my favorite franchises and Mankind Divided (alternate title: "Prague Apartment Burglary Simulator 2016") has everything that makes the series great. This is the Digital Deluxe Edition that comes with all the things.

    Is there anything i should know about it so i dont mess it up? Like when or how i should unplug it, or any important setting should be on or off? And i do plan on bringing it from one xbox to another.

    Xbox exits out of disney+ when I try to fast forward or reverse a movie. Help??

    Disney+ was working fine but recently whenever we try and fast forward or reverse the movie or show, it freezes then exits to the home screen. Any idea what's going on or how to fix this?

    I have Black Ops 2 Downloaded and all the DLC show up as downloaded in the mage game section, but the zombie maps don’t show up when I go to play them. It’s the same Xbox Love Account. Any Suggestions?

    this just started happening recently. every time i load up skate 3 it brings me to this screen and i can’t join. this started happening after i lost connection to my wifi while creating an online session. what do i do?

    I feel like the genre has been beaten to a pulp, it seems that every game wants to be a open world nowadays, and on top of that, they all have RPG elements, there's always skill trees, weapon upgrades or something among these lines. As someone who grew up to 16-bit linear games, that are simple, short and sweet, the current trend of complex open world games with endless hours of gameplay really puts me off, I miss linear games.

    Xbox One X Is Amazing... I have a lot of Hope for Xbox Series X Next Year

    Soapbox time:

    I have games like Jedi Fallen Order (great game), EA's Battlefront 2, Forza Horizon 4, Gears of War 5, and Sea of Thieves, Skyrim SE, and Fallout 4. The graphics on those games are insane and they're great fun to play.

    But, playing games like Morrowind, one of my favorite games ever, res'd up with a near perfect 60fps framerate, is just something else.

    So that's the best part. The spectrum of available games from old classics to big games from last generation to today's graphical powerhouses, is unbelievable.

    Here's to hoping the Xbox Series X keeps this. I'd like to see the entirety of the current xbox library carry over to be just as easily playable on the next generation system.

    Connecting new controller

    I have an xbox one S and I got a new controller for my boyfriend(new years gift for him) and I can't seem to connect it. I've done everything what the xbox website said to do. All it's doing is fast blinking, then it'll go to slow blinking, and finally it just shuts off. Any ideas on what to do?

    Update: my boyfriend fixed the issue. I think I was holding the power button on the controller to long. Idk but it's working now👍🏻 thank you to everyone who suggested what to try.

    (Help) Dead Rising 2: Off The Record Xbox One X

    Hey all. So, I recently downloaded DR2: OTR for my Xbox One X and upon starting it up, noticed that all of the shadows and dark colours were red and pixelated (and harsh bright light had the same issue but blue instead). I had a similar issue before with Gears Ultimate edition and I fixed that by clearing my local save data, however this did not solve the issue this time.

    I tried doing a hard reset, tried using a different HDMI, tried deleting and reinstalling the game (three times) and tried messing around with my Xbox's setting and nothing would fix it. Considering every other game I have looks fine (including the original Dead Rising 2) I have to assume that it's an issue with the game itself running on a One X. To back this up, I've seen 2 or 3 posts on forums of people with the same issue that all were on Xbox One X's, and I found a screenshot on the community tab of someone who's game had the same graphical issue and sure enough, when I messaged them asking if they were on a One X, they said that they were indeed.

    So I'm just here to ask if any of you have Dead Rising 2: Off The Record for your Xbox One X if you could start it up and check to see if your game is suffering from the same graphical glitch. I contacted Capcom support but as is expected of customer support they just told me to reinstall (despite me telling them in my support ticket that I had already done so) so I'm hoping I can get some confirmation that my suspicions are correct that the game is messed up if played on a One X.

    Xbox controller stick drift

    How long should a controller last before getting stick drift? Last controller I used lasted for only 5 months before getting drift in both sticks, nowadays it's completely unusable. Bought a new controller years later and this one lasted 3-4 months before my right stick had gotten minor drift. Even though it's minor and only comes up every 30 seconds or so, it really hurts when I'm playing competitive games and I have to keep my damn screen centered anytime it acts on it's own. It's Really disheartening to have to pay $50 for a damn controller that won't last for at least a year when treated well. Anyways, I know there are fixes, like opening it up, but I was just wondering if other people share the same recurring problem with controllers, and if any PS4 players are around, if this happens to those controllers.

    Is Lego Star Wars III Broken?

    I got game pass and downloaded Lego Star Wars III backwards compatible. Only when I downloaded it a lot of things were off. The textures were bugged, the title screen looked like a bunch of random colors flashing with like 2 clone troopers walking around. It seems playable but I'm only on the prologue and things look bad. Is this game broken or is it just a bad download or something like that?

    Edit: I restarted the game. It works fine now but thanks for the help!

    Outside of thermal paste replace, any suggestions for a Xbox One X overheating and shutting down?

    As the title states, my console keeps overheating and shutting down. Upon doing a little searching here on the sub, it sounds like the thermal paste may be my culprit and I plan to replace it. However, I ordered some online and it won't be here until the end of the week.

    I was hoping for some quick fix alternatives in the meantime. Anyone have any temporary solutions? Other things I tried are:

    • Keeping the system in an open environment
    • Standing up vertically
    • Blowing out vents with canned air
