- Xbox 360 pc update - I've started stripping the dvd optical drive power cable, and tomorrow will be connecting the two ends in turn extending it, so the drive will be long enough to fit in the DVD slot on the pc case. More updates coming as the pc case arrives tomorrow with the long SATA cable.

Controller Deadzone issues (Xbox 360 console) Posted: 25 Aug 2021 05:25 PM PDT Hello! So recently I purchased a new Xbox 360 controller. Still in the package. This game store I have near me has plenty of them and they all look official. The Microsoft sticker is where it needs to be and looks legit. Everything engraved looks right. There's even a barcode and serial number under the battery pack. Problem is that the controllers analogue sticks appear to have an 8 degree snap to them. I know this happens to controllers that are cheap and off brand, but for one so accurately designed? It seems almost impossible. I was wondering if anyone had an explanation or could assist me. This is happening on the 360 itself btw, not on a pc. [link] [comments]
Issue with game downloaded from Xbox Live Posted: 25 Aug 2021 08:42 PM PDT I have bought a used 360E 4gb and wanted to play Xbox original Splinter cell double agent. As I couldn't source a disc. I had to purchase from Live and learnt that it can only be played through internal storage. I even bought a used 320gb hard drive, downloaded the game again but it shows an error and exits to dashboard. I bought Xbox original burnout online to test but download gets cancelled at 97%. I tried all the troubleshooting mentioned on Xbox site but it has not helped. Please let me know if something can be done. Btw I bought Far Cry 3 from Live and it works well. This is the error. "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again. For more help, visit www.xbox.com/support." [link] [comments]

Is there a way to tell if 360 E is the 4gb version without booting it up? Posted: 25 Aug 2021 01:35 PM PDT I see 360 E's from time to time at thrift stores and was wondering if there was a way to identify the models with 4gb built in memory. Lots of the 2nd hand units I see have had their hard drives pulled so thats not a reliable way to tell. I know the slim 4gb 360s had a matte finish vs the glossy models with hard drives. And the older fat arcade models had white disk trays. But I don't see any cosmetic differences between the model E versions in my googling. So is there anything printed on the case or some other cosmetic feature that I could use to identify these? [link] [comments]

Where to find replacement Analog Sticks without a huge deadzone? Posted: 25 Aug 2021 11:16 AM PDT I have a few worn Xbox 360 controllers that I'd like to refurbish. I've purchased a few of the cheap replacement analog kits off of Amazon and they are all pretty much the same (the ones with the green potentiometers). They do work, but have a huge deadzone that makes the controller very inaccurate for FPS games. I'd love to find a replacement that is closer to OEM without the huge deadzone. Has anyone found anything that works well? [link] [comments] |
