Secondly: It's an absolute pain in the ass to find this page via MS's site as it will always direct you to the Microsoft Store rather than the old Xbox Marketplace. Pretty sure they basically don't want people using this any more. It's out of date etc and kind of slow but still works :) Hope someone finds this useful. Edit: P.S The "Downloading to XBOX 360" buttons still work correctly: this is fantastic for picking up lots of long-forgotten freebies (trailers, avatar items, free DLC etc) that are hard to find via the 360's own ageing UX, getting them queued up for downloading directly to your console the next time you sign in. I own a lot of physical 360 games, so I'm marking those out and then selecting "Game Add-ons" in the filters on the left-hand side before downloading all the free DLC I either missed out on or didn't know existed, some are quite substantial or just kinda cool e.g. the Yellowcard (remember them?) / Alienware / XBOX Live-themed vehicle skins that were unlocked if Burnout Revenge detected a savegame from Burnout 3: Takedown, for example!) P.P.S There's a few real unexpected gems in here, there's too much for me to go through on my own but if anyone fancies a free copy of Doritos Crash Course then apparently that's still a thing https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Product/Doritos-Crash-Course/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258410a71 ** I've also realised you can do the same thing with the "broken" Avatar Marketplace, you may have to change the country to match your location (e.g. by changing the URL, e.g en-US / en-GB) but it works great for claiming all the Free avatars and accessories you may have missed out on: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/AvatarMarketplace?sortby=BestSellingToday#SortBy **Had to finagle around in the Xbox Dashboard's "Download History" section to specifically tell it to download now but it's working :) Can't wait to see if anyone else digs up some more Arcade games / DLC. | Posted: 23 Oct 2020 10:54 AM PDT The retro game store close to my house always has a 50% off games and consoles sale on Black Friday so I'm planning on buying a 360 then. When I was a kid, the 250 gb 360 was the best one you could buy so I'm planning on buying one of those. Is this a good decision? I want to play lots of games so I'm gonna need all the storage space but I know that 360s can have lots of problems so I'm not sure if it's the best one to get. I know very little about 360s so if someone who knows more can help me and give me a recommendation for what 360 is the most reliable that would really help [link] [comments] | ||
